Sioux Falls was so quick to show it loves Crumbl Cookies, there’s already a second location ahead.

Sister-and-brother franchisees Heather Berry and Brock Stokes brought the fast-growing cookie concept to Sioux Falls this summer and quickly set an opening weekend record at their Empire Place location.

They then quickly leased a second space at a new retail center at Dawley Farm Village on the east side.

“Our expectations have been blown away,” they said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more happy with all the excitement and support we have been shown since our grand opening in July. It has been so fun to be a part of, and we thank everyone for sharing the Crumbl Craze with your family and friends.”

They credit Crumbl’s weekly rotating flavors for helping connect customers to the business regularly.

“Our Dawley location will be offering a few different things,” the owners said. “First, it will have a new layout for customers to order inside with a total of four self-serve kiosks letting the customer submit their orders with less wait time. Along with curbside pickup, delivery and carryout, we will be offering drive-thru for even more convenience.”

The location will be part of a new retail center near Dawley’s 18th Street entrance being developed by Cresten Capital Holdings. It will include three additional tenants.

Adding Crumbl is “phenomenally fantastic,” CEO Kevin Tupy said. “The sugar greatness of their product will now be available on the east side. I love Crumbl. They are magic in a cookie. I’m so excited for the east side.”

Crumbl joins a growing number of other retail, restaurant and office tenants, said Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos., who put the deal together and also brought Crumbl to Empire Place.

“Crumbl has been incredibly successful in Sioux Falls, and we know that’s going to continue at Dawley Farms,” she said. “We are experiencing a lot of interest from additional retailers, along with construction underway and more openings soon, so there will be a lot of new developments for the east side in the coming year.”

One additional deal has come together for the new retail center, leaving two spaces available, Blount said.

“The traffic counts and visibility are so strong at this site. We are really excited to be able to add this to the development.”

The plan is to break ground this winter and have the cookie shop open by late summer or early fall of next year.
