Kevin is a successful entrepreneur in Sioux Falls, SD. He started his career with Citi, where his career spanned seven years working various management positions supporting its Private Label Credit Card division. In 2001, he left the corporate world of business banking and founded Z Wireless, a Verizon Premium Retailer, with one mall-based kiosk in Sioux Falls, SD. Over the next 10 years, Kevin grew Z Wireless to over 100 locations throughout the Midwest. In 2011, Atlantic Street Capital partnered with him to grow the business to a national footprint. By 2016, the business had achieved the status of the largest Verizon Premium Retailer in the country with over 1,200 locations nationwide. Today, the business has rebranded as Victra and is now part of the Lone Star Capital family. He continues his dedication to the company he founded by maintaining a significant share of equity in the business and remaining involved in strategic initiatives. In 2016, Kevin founded Cresten Capital Holdings, a private equity firm focused on real estate, operating companies, and alternative assets. Kevin is actively involved in each of his portfolio companies and works side-by-side with the teams to enhance revenue growth, increase operating leverage, improve cash flow margins and elevate customer loyalty. Today, Cresten Capital Holdings has invested over $100 million in its assets and continues to grow by partnering with local entrepreneurs and business people who share the same dedication and values that our firm was founded upon: A maniacal focus on driving value through market differentiation while maintaining an unsurpassed customer experience and company culture.
Erica’s business background started in the fast-casual business, where she assisted with the management of the busiest franchise location in South Dakota. In May, 2011, she graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and specialization in Human Resources. Immediately following graduation, Erica joined the Human Resources department of a wireless retailer, which operated locations throughout the mid-west. In late 2011 and continuing for the next five years, the wireless retailer expanded to a nationwide footprint. Following the growth, Erica transitioned roles to the Business Development department, where her main focus was lease and acquisition management. Mid-2016, Erica exited the wireless business to join Cresten Capital Holdings, where she supports the day-to-day operations of real estate & development and Cresten Properties. She also holds her Brokers Associate license through the state of South Dakota.
After spending a few years with a regional bank, Kay joined a wireless retailer that operated locations in South Dakota and Nebraska. Kay supported the company’s operations and store count growth to a regional footprint throughout the Midwest. Late 2011, the wireless retailer joined forces with a financial investor and the company grew to a nationwide footprint over the following five years. During this time, Kay’s focus was exclusive to overseeing all real estate and small-chain acquisitions. Mid 2016, Kay exited the wireless business but continues her business development focus. She currently supports the day-to-day operations and small-chain acquisitions for Anytime Fitness and CarSwap. Kay attended the University of South Dakota.
Director of Real Estate Operations
Kelly is the Director of Real Estate Operations for Multi-family and joined the Cresten Capital Holdings team in November 2019. He oversees operations for the portfolio including marketing, training, development and acquisition opportunities. Prior, Kelly was involved with conventional and LIHTC properties and has held titles of Leasing Agent, Property Manager, Regional Manager, consisting of over 1400 units, and Director. His experience includes resident relations, on-site management, multi-site management, budget preparation and financial analysis. Kelly holds his Brokers Associates license through the state of South Dakota.
Cassi joined the Cresten Capital Holdings team in May 2019. Cassi received her Accounting degree from National American University. While attending National American University, Cassi started her accounting career with a small property management company, where she continued for 9 years. Cassi supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the real estate assets of Cresten Capital Holdings and Cresten Properties.
Kaylee graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in December 2012. From there, she went to work for a public accounting firm in Iowa where she supported Mutual Insurance companies around the state of Iowa through tax, audit, and financial preparation. Late 2016, Kaylee transitioned to private accounting and joined a property management company in South Dakota where she supported the accounting functions and operations of hotels, properties, and other privately-owned entities spread through the Midwest region. In November 2019, Kaylee joined the Cresten Capital Holdings team. She currently supports the day-to-day operations and performs the accounting and human resource functions for Anytime Fitness.
Kevin graduated from Dakota State University in May 2012 with bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management. Following graduation, Kevin worked for a national bank in customer service for over two years. In 2014, Kevin moved to working for a local national ag retailer in their Accounting department for over five years. In March of 2020, Kevin joined Cresten Capital Holdings team, where he supports the day-to-day accounting activities for Anytime Fitness.
